What it offers
The Grund is the old riverside quarter at the foot of the city's fortress walls, "a village within a city". You can walk down, or take the free public lift from the Plateau du Saint-Esprit.
Practical details
Another way down is the Panoramic lift from the upper town to Pfaffenthal, then a walk of about 20 minutes along the valley.
The Natural History Museum (natur musée) is in the Grund, and the Wenzel Circular Walk passes through it.
