What it offers
The long-distance trail through "Little Switzerland", with sandstone gorges, forests and rock formations. Three routes plus shorter ExtraTours, certified as a "Leading Quality Trail – Best of Europe".
Practical details
The full routes are long; most people walk them in stages. The official pages don’t give a difficulty for the long routes.
Shorter options for a first visit:
- Berdorf circular walk: 6.6 km, about 1 h 45. Starts at 29 rue d’Echternach, Berdorf.
- Echternach “Auto-pédestre” town circuit: 6.71 km, about 2 hours, marked “medium”.
The site also has a luggage transport service and Park & Hike for walking the long routes in stages.
