Parent support, play groups and meet-ups
Eltereforum (parent forums)
What it offers
Ten parent forums around the country, run by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth. Parents, grandparents and carers can meet other families, join play groups and parent-and-child activities, go to courses and talks on parenting, and get personal guidance, from pregnancy until children turn 18.
Practical details
- What you’ll find: parents’ cafés and meet-ups, play groups for babies and young children, family activities for 4 to 12-year-olds, courses and talks on parenting, and one-to-one guidance.
- Cost: according to the ministry, most activities are free. Some are run by partner organisations, so check the activity before you go.
- Ages, languages and booking vary by activity. Each entry in the calendar shows the age group, the languages spoken and whether there’s a waiting list. You can filter the calendar by language, age group and region.
- Who it’s for: all parents, grandparents, guardians and close family, from pregnancy until children reach adulthood.
- Contact: each forum has its own contact person on the addresses page. The central Eltereforum service is at 33, Rives de Clausen, Luxembourg, eltereforum@men.lu.
