Inclusive playground, reopened 2026
Merl Park (Parc de Merl) playground
What it offers
A large public park in the Merl district of Luxembourg City. Its playground was redesigned and reopened on 14 July 2026, with a water and sand play area, climbing towers, a raised walkway and many kinds of swings, built so that children in wheelchairs can play too.
Practical details
- What’s new: the playground was rebuilt after talks with local residents. The water area has pumps, fountains, channels and sand, two tall towers are linked by a walkway and a climbing route, and the swings range from baby swings and nest swings to hammocks.
- For all children: ramps and adapted equipment mean children who use a wheelchair can join in.
- Getting there: parking is limited, so the City recommends the bus (lines 5, 6 and 15).
