Weekend and Sunday shopping in the north
Three shopping centres in the north that open on Sundays and most public holidays: Massen in Wemperhardt, Knauf Schmiede and Knauf Pommerloch, with their centre, supermarket and holiday hours.
Most of the country’s shops can open on Sundays now, but many still close early or stay shut. Three big shopping centres in the north, close to the Belgian border, open every Sunday and on most public holidays. Each centre has more than one set of hours: the shopping centre itself, the supermarket inside it, and sometimes a bakery or other services. Individual shops and restaurants can keep their own hours, so check the shop’s page if you’re going for one in particular.
Massen, Wemperhardt

- Open 362 days a year, Sundays and public holidays included. Closed on 25 and 26 December and 1 January.
- Shops and services: Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:30, Sundays and public holidays 10:00 to 18:00.
- La Grande Épicerie (supermarket): Monday to Saturday 7:30 to 19:00, Sundays and public holidays 8:00 to 18:00.

- Shops: every day, Monday to Sunday, 10:00 to 19:00, including public holidays.
- Delhaize (supermarket): Monday to Saturday 7:30 to 20:00, Sunday 7:30 to 19:00.
- The centre also has a medical laboratory, open weekday mornings 6:00 to 12:00.

Good to know
- Supermarket hours aren’t centre hours. At Massen the supermarket opens before the shops and closes later on weekdays. At the Knauf centres, Delhaize opens earlier and closes later than the shops.
